Fujitsu’s new LifeBooks have pico-projectors

We have seen a lot of interesting laptops come from Fujitsu before, such as the Fujitsu LifeBook AH572 3D Laptop, and the Concept Lifebook X2.Now, Fujitsu is introducing the LifeBook S761/C and P771/C notebooks, and they have one most interesting stand-out feature: they have fold-out pico-projectors where optical drives once were.

In all honesty, I’m not certain whether or not that this is a worthwhile feature. After all, the pico projector has been put on the side of the machine. Which means that you will have to look to the side when you use this secondary screen. I probably would have put it in front of the main screen.

If that isn’t enough to turn you off, you might want to hear the prices. The LifeBook S761/C is about $2,675 and the P771/C is $3,110, which is pretty up there for a laptop. It might be cheaper to get a laptop and then a portable pico projector like the 3M MPro110.
